Blade Pitch Realignment is a low cost non-invasive service which helps restore lost production capacity and reduce maintenance costs.

What is blade pitch realignment?

Using high speed video and AI analysis we determine which blades are misaligned and provide the owner with the corrections needed to realign the turbine’s blades restoring lost production capacity and reducing maintenance costs.

Realignment in 3 easy steps:

Step 1: Image Capture - A high-speed camera is set up to capture images of the turbine. It is critical for the turbine to remain in operation. The camera captures a series of images of each blade in motion which enables analysis of of each blade's pitch relative to the other blades.

Step 2: Automated Image Processing - The images are processed and using an AI driven image analysis capability the differences in blade pitch alignment for each blade relative to the others is determined. The system produces a report which contains the information needed to realign the blade pitch.

Step 3: Blade Pitch Correction - Our service team provides the wind energy operator with the information required for their operations team to adjust each individual blade’s pitch relative to the others. Our team never touches the wind turbine and the turbine never has to be taken out of operation during at any point during the realignment process.
